On the first day of the Biķernieku Motorsport Festival held on Saturday, the victories in the Latvian Rallycross Championship classes were divided as follows. In the Rallycross Super 1600 class, there was an exciting battle between all the leading Latvian players, but additional nuances were also introduced by guests from Estonia. Roberts Vītols, who was first in the qualifying total, won two victories and one second place in the qualifying races. Vītols convincingly won his semi-final, leaving Mura and Oš behind him. In the final, the start and the first turn made a big difference – the principle competitors Vītols and Odinš started the straight side by side, leaving braking before the first turn until the last moment. Since Robert had the inside edge, he was the first to get out of the situation. In the continuation of the final, Vītols achieved victory unscathed. After this stage, Roberts is in the lead of the Latvian Rallycross Championship S1600 class overall standings.
