The 18 year-old reigning Super 1600 champion took the lead from Ollie O’Donovan after taking an early joker to lead home the 2007 champion and Tristan Ovenden (Citroen DS3) for his first supercar podium. Irish champion Derek Tohill (Ford Fiesta), Mike Sellar (Citroen DS3) and Connor McCloskey (Ford Focus) completed the top six. Defending champion Mark Donnelly was forced out after damage sustained in the semi-final side-lined him off the line. Six-time champion Julian Godfrey (Ford Fiesta) was forced into retirement due to a gearbox issue while running second.
